નવી દિલ્હી, તા. 3 ઓક્ટોબર 2020 શનિવાર 

વડાપ્રધાન નરેન્દ્ર મોદી આજે અટલ ટનલનું હિમાચલ પ્રદેશના રોહતાંગમાં ઉદઘાટન કરશે. આ ટનલ ને કારણે મનાલી અને   લેહ વચ્ચેનું અંતર 46 કિલોમીટર દૂર થઈ જશે. તેમજ મુસાફરીનો ચાર થી પાંચ કલાકનો સમય પણ બચી જશે. 

અધિકારીઓએ જણાવ્યુ કે, લાહૌલ સ્પીતિના સીસૂમાં ઉદઘાટન સમારોહ બાદ મોદી સોલાંગ ઘાટીમાં એક સાર્વજનિક કાર્યક્રમમાં ભાગ લેશે. તેઓએ જણાવ્યું કે, પ્રધાનમંત્રીની સાથે રક્ષા મંત્રી રાજનાથ સિંહ પણ હાજર રહેશે. 

અટલ ટનલ દુનિયામાં સૌથી લાંબી ટનલ છે, જે 9.02 કિલોમીટર લાંબી ટનલ મનાલીને વર્ષભર લાહૌલ સ્પીતિ ઘાટી સાથે જોડીને રાખશે. પહેલા આ ઘાટી લગભગ છ મહિના સુધી ભારે બરફવર્ષાને કારણે બાકી ભાગોથી કપાઈ જતી હતી. 

હિમાલયના પીર પંજાબ પર્વતમાળાની વચ્ચે અત્યાધુનિક વિશિષ્ટતાઓની સાથે સમુદ્ર તળથી અંદાજે 3000 મીટર ઉંચાઈ પર ટનલને બનાવવામાં આવી છે. અધિકારીઓના જણાવ્યા અનુસાર, પ્રધાનમંત્રી કુલ્લુ જિલ્લામાં હિમ તેમજ હિમસ્ખલન રિસર્ચ સંસ્થા પહોચશે.

કેન્દ્રીય ગૃહમંત્રી અમિત શાહે આજે ગાંધી જયંતીના અવસરે ટ્વીટ કરીને રાષ્ટ્રપતિને શ્રદ્ધાંજલિ આપી. તેમણે લખ્યું કે ગાંધીજીના અસાધારણ વ્યક્તિત્વ તથા સાધનાપૂર્ણ જીવને વિશ્વને શાંતિ, અહિંસા અને સદભાવનો માર્ગ દેખાડ્યો. તેમણે લખ્યું કે સ્વદેશીના ઉપયોગને વધારવાના તેમના સ્વપ્નને પૂર્ણ કરવા માટે આજે સમગ્ર દેશ મોદીજીના આત્મનિર્ભર ભારતના સંકલ્પની સાથે સ્વદેશી અપનાવી રહ્યો છે. ગાંધી જયંતી પર તેમને કોટિ કોટિ નમન.

PNB reports Rs 1,203cr fraud by Sintex Industries

Public sector Punjab National Bank (PNB) on Wednesday declared its Rs 1,203.26 crore exposure to Sintex Industries Ltd as fraud.Pursuant to the applicable provisions of Sebi's Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR) and the bank's policy, "we inform reporting of borrowal fraud of Rs 1,203.26 crore in NPA account of Sintex Industries Ltd (SIL)," PNB said in a regulatory filing.
