Elon Musk denied he had an affair with Sergey Brin’s wife, after reports stated that the liaison led the Google co-founder to order his advisers to sell his investments in Musk’s companies. Musk had an alleged liaison in December in Miami with Brin’s wife Nicole Shanahan, the journal said, citing unidentified people. That ended the long friendship between Musk, 51, and Brin, who helped support the electric carmaker during the 2008 financial crisis. Brin had filed for divorce in January.

Weekly Covid cases 6.5% up nationally, 37% in Delhi

Delhi registered a 37% rise in Covid cases in the week ending Sunday, breaking a three-week spell of declining infections, in a pattern of alternating rise and fall that is being seen in several other states during the current surge of the virus. Cases rose nationally for the ninth straight week, with nearly 1.37 lakh infections detected in the country in the last seven days (July 18-24), up 6.5% from the previous week. This is the highest weekly case tally since mid-February this year.

India to deploy 2nd S-400 squadron at China front as PLA jets buzz near LAC

India’s capability to detect and destroy hostile fighters, strategic bombers, missiles and drones at long ranges will get another major boost when a new squadron of the S-400 Triumf surface-to-air missile systems becomes operational along the northern borders with China in the next two to three months.
