36 dead in every 100 accidents, severity at 20-yr high in 2020

The severity of road crashes was at 20 years’ high during 2020 when at least 36 people died in every 100 such accidents, according to a report of the road transport ministry released on Wednesday. Covid-19 infections continued to inch up in India for the third week running but, crucially, there was no increase in deaths in the week ending Sunday.
